UNDER THE BRIDGE ANIMATION
This animation project was a culmination of the skills I learned in After Effects over the semester. The goal was to animate type visualizing a quote or lyrics. I decided to animate one of my favorite songs "Under the Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
RESEARCH
Much of my research for this project was listening to the song I wanted to animate and imagining how I could visually show represent the music. I took inspiration from their logo, album cover and the city of Los Angels where they are from.
STORY BOARD
In order to organize my ideas for this sequence, I needed to create a storyboard. I laid out how I wanted each lyric to be visualized by changing scale, weight, and color. With how time consuming animation can be it was important that I had a clear idea of what I wanted to display
CREATING THE SETTING
Using inspiration from my research, I created a setting based on Los Angeles that was showcased during the finale of the animation. I wanted to create a sort of climax that visually matched the progression of the song.
